One positive to come out of the pandemic has been the renaissance of the humble food can. From celebrity chefs, to food supermarket displays, food cans have been high on the agenda for consumers adjusting to the new norm we are seeing.

Demand for canned food is here to stay

The can making and filling sectors have become beneficiaries – at least in the short term – of consumers turning their kitchen cupboards into pandemic pantries, stockpiling canned food and other long-lasting products because they fear of food shortages because of Covid-19.
