CMB partners with SLD

CarnaudMetalbox Engineering (CMB) recently introduced the reformat brand to its product portfolio based on the premise of reconfigurable, modular, canmaking equipment.

The introduction of the brand that promises quicker changes, ease of use and reduction in cost of ownership was displayed at last year’s Metpack exhibition in Germany. Interest in the product range for not only the bodymaker but for other products in the portfolio has been strong, according to CMB.

Partnering with Straight Line Drive (which has recently introduced to the market the S-Drive, a retrofit system that can be installed on many bodymakers) and utilising the  experience of Don Haulsee (patent holder and inventor of the Hypocycloid transmission technology) and in particular his vision for canmaking in the future, CMB combines his patent held drive system  with the reformat brand  paving the way for a true step change for can makers globally, the company maintains.

The new system can be seen on the CarnaudMetalbox stand at Cannex, 15-18 May, Guangzhou, China.
