INX International to share Direct Object Printing insights at InPrint

Jim Lambert, vice president and general manager of INX International Ink Co. will discuss Direct Object Printing for the beverage can market during one of the breakout sessions at the InPrint Industrial Inkjet Conference, 1 May at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago, US.

Lambert is expected to talk about the latest advancements in industrial inkjet technology and how they impact several categories, including beverage cans.

He said: “The demand for direct object printing is very high and brand owners are driving this change. They are looking at the benefits associated with making a bigger impact on store shelves. If they decide to replace a label, they are reducing steps in the production process. Some have discovered visually impactful graphics don’t have to look like traditional labels.”

Lambert also plans to discuss how technology hardware and software advances continue to evolve at a consistent rate.

“People want to print on anything and everything today, and direct objecting printing literally has no limits. There have been great advances in printhead technology and digital ink, especially with huge increases in speed and native resolution. At INX, we’ve made significant advancements with cylindrical applications. The CP800 UV Digital Cylindrical Printer is designed to give integrators a cost effective standalone solution for small production runs,” he concluded.
