Molson makes switch to aluminium bottles

Brewer Molson Coors is set to make a switch from glass bottles to aluminium bottles for three of its biggest beer brands. The packaging format switch is at the heart of a £7.3 million rebrand of Carling but Molson is also moving Coors Light and Caffrey’s into aluminium bottles.

Cans of Coors Light to feature new cold indicator

Cans and bottles of Coors Light will feature a new design which indicates when the beer reaches the “peak of refreshment”. As part of its upcoming Super Cold Summer, brewer Miller Coors is debuting its latest cold-acticated technology: New Coors Light two-stage super cold activation, which makes it easy to see when the beer goes from cold to super cold.

Cool feature added to cans of Busch Light

Brewer Anheuser-Busch has launched Busch Light in cans that show when the beer is cool enough for drinking. Chromatic Technologies Inc (CTI), a specialised inks company, has provided the technology in the form of a temperature indicator that turns blue when the beverage has chilled to the perfect drinking temperature.
