Joining the top table

The last fortnight has seen a refreshing return to action, with some significant can making news to hit the news desk of CanTech International.
Most significantly, Canpack will construct a state-of-the-art aluminium beverage can body and ends manufacturing plant, its first in the United States, as well as a North American Center of Excellence demonstrating Canpack’s R&D and lithographic capabilities. This facility, which is estimated to be built and functional by the fourth quarter of 2021, over time is anticipated to provide over 400 local jobs.
The move now signifies the organisation’s first entrance into the US market, adding to its portfolio across Europe, South America, India, the Middle East and Africa. After a period of relative inactivity when it comes new plants in the US, it’s positive to see a new plant to cater for beverage can customers in the US.
