Spacing out the beverages

We’ve seen a good few innovations for can holding solutions come out in the past couple of years, and now canned, non-alcoholic hop water brand, HOP WTR, is adding to the mix.

Created to ensure Independence Day (4 July) celebrations in the US are filled with fun and not the ‘hangxiety’ associated with a hangover, the HOP SPCR allows the brand’s consumers to insert up to six cans into the device. The HOP SPCR is meant to act as not only a fun way to stack and carry cans about, but also so that consumers can literally space out their alcohol intake by adding cans of HOP WTR’s core flavours (Classic, Mango, Lime, Blood Orange, and Peach) to the stack.

US consumers are able to head to www.hopwtr.com/spcr and fill out the form for a chance to win a pack of the limited edition HOP SPCRs.

With the increase in low and no-alcohol space in the canned beverages market, HOP WTR is creating a unique brand image with its self-proclamation of being ‘The Healthy Way to Hops.’ According to the company, its brewer-approved blend of Citra, Amarillo, Mosaic and Azacca hops delivers a citrusy, piney flavour reminiscent of an IPA, without the alcohol. Accompanying the hops are ‘mood-boosting, stress-busting adaptogens and nootropics,’ infused in sparkling water.

Gen Z’ers in particular are increasingly opting for alternatives to drinks with heavy alcohol content, and hats off to them.

With a wedding to attend this weekend in 29 degree heat, I’m definitely going to be spacing out my alcohol intake with soft drinks and water. Hydration is key, after all.
