Closing the year on a high

We’ve just finished the December/January edition of the magazine, which I’m pleased to be able to share with you all here. In it, we give you a comprehensive rundown of all recent industry events, as well as sharing features on oven technology, speciality cans, and looking ahead to 2024.

Speaking of next year, in my 2023 Asia CanTech review it is revealed that we will be heading to Vietnam for the 2024 edition of the show, from 21-23 October. We have now welcomed Vicky McCulloch on board as events manager, so please email her at [email protected] for more details and to get your registration secured!

First, though, is CanTech the Grand Tour, taking place from 26-28 March in Mumbai, India. I am gutted I’m not able to attend, but you’ll be in very safe hands with Bell’s associate editor, Kathryn Brand, filling in for me while I see my sister-in-law married. The Grand Tour is another amazing business opportunity for can makers and suppliers alike, and we’re excited to welcome you all to this industry showcase. General registration, exhibitor and speaker slots are all still available to book via the website or by emailing Vicky or Aimee [email protected]. As with Asia CanTech, we also have the Grand Tour Awards, which you can enter as a can maker here until 27 February 2024.

To celebrate another great year gone by, I’ll be popping open a can of wine later, courtesy of The Canned Wine Co (see above). Thank you to the team for sending these over to the office. Seriously, how gorgeous are they? They’re like a work of art. I may have to keep them after consuming…

All that is left to say is Merry Christmas to all those who celebrate and best wishes to everyone for the New Year. Have a restful break!
