Party time

It’s that time of the year again when the hot topic of conversation at most offices up and down the United Kingdom inevitably turns to the Christmas party and here at Bell Publishing it is certainly no different.

I always look upon the office Christmas party with a degree of fondness and the tradition of celebrating Jesus’ birthday by getting blind drunk is certainly a British institution and none more so than at my previous publishing company. Over the previous few years I witnessed the following:

  • Riot police getting called to the party as work colleagues chose to fight each other as their nightcap of choice
  • Two married office workers getting caught having a ‘rendezvous’ in the toilets
  • A publishing director spending the night at the local police station for drunken disorderly behaviour

Before you cancel your CanTech International subscriptions in horror, I can happily report that this lot at Bell Publishing seem a more civilised bunch and I’m sure it will be a far more pleasant occasion this time around!

As we wind down for the festive period, I have just put the December/January 2015 issue to bed and look forward to the February issue. Included in the issue will be a preview of Euro CanTech International and a look ahead to 2016. Please do get in touch with your comments on the publication and what you would like to see for 2016.

Enjoy the rest of your week.
