Evert van de Weg had a long career in various commercial management positions at the leading Dutch can maker Thomassen en Drijver-Verblifa, later on part of the international can maker Impress. Since 2000, he has been a regular contributor to CanTech International, covering a wide range of topics. In 2010 he wrote the book ‘’Blik op Blik’’ about 200 years of can making in the Netherlands.
