Rainfirest Cola launched in Rexam Sleek cans

A new 100 per cent natural antioxidant drink called Rainforest Cola has been launched in Rexam’s 12oz Sleek cans.

Aimed at consumers who want to establish a healthier New Year lifestyle, the antioxidant soft drink has a real cola taste and is the first of its kind, carving out a new category in the beverage industry.

“We are pleased to offer consumers a carbonated beverage that has great taste in addition to health benefits,” says Tom Bushkie, president, Rainforest Beverages.  “It’s different from anything on the market because it’s a completely natural cola that is packed with antioxidants which have been known to strengthen the immune system and provide other health benefits.”

Rainforest Beverages chose to launch Rainforest Cola in the Rexam Sleek can because it delivers brand differentiation and helps the beverage stand out on retail shelves. In addition, the company wanted to demonstrate its commitment to sustainability by utilising the most recycled beverage package in the world.

“Through our partnership with Rexam, we have brought it to market in a great-looking package that will help us build our brand and business,” adds Bushkie.

“We worked closely with the team at Rainforest Beverages to help them achieve their goal of differentiating this distinctive cola from the rest of the beverage pack,” explains Andre Balbi, president and CEO, Rexam Beverage Can Americas. “Our 12 oz Sleek can is the perfect solution, enabling their brand to stand out on retail shelves.”

Rainforest Beverages also worked with Rexam’s graphic art and printing plate operation in Elk Grove, Illinois, US, to set the colour and graphic tolerances for reproduction of their brand on aluminium cans.
Rainforest Cola is available through select retailers in New York, Massachusetts, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina and Wisconsin.
