Krassimira Kazashka

Krassimira Kazashka is the CEO of Metal Packaging Europe since November 2023. Prior to joining MPE, she worked for European associations in the paper packaging sector, multinational company, national government and the European Commission. As a professional, she was extensive experience in EU policy on sustainability, circular economy, packaging & packaging waste, chemicals, food contact and trade.

Krassimira holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering, a European MSc in Environmental protection and an International MBA.

Scott Breen

Scott Breen is president of the Can Manufacturers Institute (CMI), the national trade association of the metal can manufacturing industry and its suppliers in the United States.

Breen has a unique background with policy and legal training; deep knowledge of sustainability and the circular economy; and experience in project management, stakeholder engagement and communications.

Chris Saunders

Chris Saunders is managing director of UK-headquartered can maker Roberts Metal Packaging Ltd.

He also holds the position of treasurer at the Metal Packaging Manufacturers Association (MPMA).

Saunders joined the metal packaging industry in 1985.

Jason Galley

Jason Galley began his career as a metallurgist at Carnaud Metal Box (now Crown Holdings Inc) and held subsequent senior positions at companies including American National Can, Alcan Packaging, Aerocan, as well as undertaking 12 years at Ball Corporation. He has worked across many steel and aluminium packaging sectors including beverage, food, pharmaceutical, household, and personal care. He also has a wealth of experience in operations, R&D and sustainability.

Peter Strode

Peter Strode is managing director of Intercan Group and chief commercial officer of SLAC International.

Patrick Heskins

Patrick Heskins is chief executive of the British Aerosol Manufacturer’s Assocation.

Andrew Truelove

Andrew Truelove is senior vice president of automation & can making solutions at CarnaudMetalBox Engineering.

Nicola Jones

Nicola Jones is regulatory manager at the British Aerosol Manufacturers Association (BAMA).

Nicola has played a significant role in advancing industry policy, bringing her expertise to the Advisory Committee for Packaging, chairing the MPMA PR Committee, and serving as a committee member of Steel for Packaging Europe’s Sustainability Working Group. She has also been recognised in a number of industry awards including ‘Global Recycling Champion’ and UK Packaging ‘Woman of the year 2024’.

Saket Bhatia

Sakey Bhatia is president of India-headquartered Hindustan Tin Works.

Simon Jennings

Simon Jennings is owner and advisor of Nomis Consultancy. In this role he is responsible for supporting the board and owners of a number of packaging and related businesses.

Simon took early retirement and set up his consultancy firm after spending 16 years with Rexam. He was most recently managing director of Rexam Beverage Can Asia Pacific but has held a number of roles at senior management/director level across the group.

He played a significant role in Rexam’s transformation from a diverse conglomerate into the world’s second largest consumer packaging group.

Prior to joining Rexam, Jennings worked for O-I United Glass, Kimberly Clark and Rockware Group.

Andrew Hyde

Andrew Hyde is vice president of advanced systems and machinery at Stolle Machinery Company.
