Voting opens for Colored by INX Can Design Contest

The 2026 Colored by INX Can Design Contest finalists
The race to crown this year’s Colored by INX Can Design Contest winner is officially on. Public voting is open now through to 22 April, to determine the champion of the seventh annual competition recognising outstanding metal decoration creativity, craftsmanship, and shelf impact.
An independent group of five judges has completed its review and selected five designs that rose to the top for strong design creativity, precise colour execution and confident shelf presence. Now, the decision moves to the voters. Selections made through the INX Facebook and LinkedIn pages will count as one official vote to help determine this year’s champion.
Five can designs have earned a place in the final round. One will take the title out of the following:
* Victoria Aire Del Destino – Ball Corporation
* El Jefe Energy – Sinister Razz – Can-One USA
* Ova Drive – Caribbean Can Manufacturing Company, LLC
* Mirrored Realities West Coast Style IPA – Fort George Brewery
* Return of the Lake Erie Monster Double IPA – Great Lakes Brewing Company
The Colored by INX Can Design Contest celebrates the creativity and craftsmanship behind today’s most impactful beverage can designs. It recognises brand owners, designers, and metal decorators who use the two-piece metal INX Color Catalog to simplify the design and production process and reach the market faster. Eligible entries included beverage can designs produced before 1 January 2026, using ink formulas from the catalogue.
From bold illustration to disciplined colour control, this year’s entries demonstrate what is required to capture attention in a crowded market. Each design reflects careful creative development, thoughtful colour selection, and the visual confidence needed to perform on the shelf. The judges evaluated each submission based on originality, overall design aesthetics, best use of the colour palette, and the written project statement describing how the INX Color Catalog supported the final design. The group of five represents the highest standards in beverage can decoration.
This is the final stage of the competition and the social media vote will help determine the winner. As part of the official scoring process, the public vote is counted alongside the judges’ evaluations. Each judge ranks the competing designs and points are assigned based on placement. The design with the highest total score is named the winner. The point system is awarded this way:
1st place = 5 points
2nd place = 4 points
3rd place = 3 points
4th place = 2 points
5th place = 1 point
Balloting is open through to Wednesday 22 April. The champion will be announced on 29 April and recognised across the industry with an engraved trophy and a feature article in Color Perfection Magazine.
