SfPE appoints new sustainability & public affairs manager

Anna Dubowik has joined Steel for Packaging Europe (SfPE) as sustainability & public affairs manager, effective 1 June 2026.
Dubowik brings over a decade of experience in EU policy with a focus on decarbonisation, cleantech innovation, EU and international climate policy instruments.
Previously, she co-founded and led the first industry organisation dedicated to technological carbon removals; coordinated decarbonisation agenda of a leading European gas industry coalition; and worked on climate policies with governments, EU institutions, trade associations and influential environmental non-profits.
At SfPE, Dubowik will engage in public affairs and will lead the SfPE Sustainability Working Group, focusing on the upcoming Circular Economy Act and the secondary legislation for Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, the Waste Framework Directive and the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation, as well as carbon pricing developments affecting trade and competitiveness of the steel industry.
Dubowik holds a Master of Arts in European studies from the College of Europe and an LL.M in Climate Change Law and Policy from the University of Strathclyde.
