VMI has been awarded the EcoVadis Platinum Medal, the highest distinction in
the globally recognised sustainability assessment. This achievement places
VMI among the top 1% of companies assessed worldwide, based on performance across environmental stewardship, ethics, labour and human rights, and sustainable procurement.

The Platinum Medal follows VMI’s Gold rating in 2025, reflecting the company’s commitment to continuously improving its sustainability performance.

“Receiving the EcoVadis Platinum Medal is a proud milestone for VMI and we share this medal with all our employees around the world,” said Harm Voortman, president and CEO of VMI Group. “This recognition reflects the progress we have made in integrating sustainability into every aspect of our business. From designing more sustainable machines together with our customers to working closely with our suppliers, we continue to improve the sustainability of both our products and our operations. While we are proud to have progressed from Silver to Gold and now Platinum, we see this as a milestone in our journey to build a sustainable future.”

VMI’s Platinum rating builds on the strong momentum of the past year, with the launch of the company-wide “We green it together” programme, which empowers teams across the organisation to set and deliver on sustainability goals. It also follows the introduction of VMI’s Sustainability Manifesto, which outlines the company’s long-term ambition, and the publication of its 2025 Sustainability Report, detailing performance and progress against targets.
