Novelis awarded two 2014 European Aluminium Awards

Novelis was awarded two prizes at the 2014 European Aluminium Awards at this year’s ALUMINIUM 2014 Trade Fair.

The first award was in the Building and Architecture category for the Blue Planet aquarium building in Copenhagen constructed with Novelis falzonal pre-painted aluminium for roof cladding, which provides the building with weather resistance and an iconic look.

The second prize was for Novelis’ online measuring tool for thin coatings on aluminium coils. The measurement method was developed in cooperation with the University of Leipzig and determines coating thickness and content even with process velocities of up to 200 m./minute without touching the surface.
