A Happy New Year to all CanTech readers and I wish you all a prosperous 2016.

Like most people, my January will involve trying to remain ‘dry’ when it comes to alcohol and attempting to shift that excess Christmas weight. There is something delightfully Western about indulging that little bit extra around Christmas time because you’ll be losing the weight in January anyway! No doubt this blog will be bemoaning broken resolutions but for now, I hope to get in shape so I can indulge guilt-free in Spring as we stride into trade show season.

The February issue is beginning to take shape nicely and I’m hoping to publish the first instalment of ‘CanMan’- a sideways looks at the world of can making. A suitable individual has been approached to write the piece and for now, my lips will be sealed on who it is!

The issue will also bring you a comprehensive Euro CanTech preview, David Hayes reports from South Korea, Evert van de Weg examines the year ahead and I report on the latest from the charity ‘Canstruction’. With food banks and wastage increasingly topical discussion points, it’s a timely piece and one I hope the charity strikes a chord with many like it did myself. Plenty to get your teeth stuck into!

Have a good week.
