Decision time

Winner of the previous Global Supplier awards, SLAC with event director, Neil McRitchie

This week is an important milestone, and no, I’m not referring to the upcoming General Election in the UK. I’m of course referring to the deadline for next year’s Global Can Supplier Awards.

To enter, each supplier is allowed to nominate one supplier innovations into the awards. To enter, you need to supply a 200-word description on why their entry is a deserving winner. This can be done by emailing [email protected]. The deadline is this Friday 13 December so don’t miss out.

As well as The Grand Tour, we of course are planning for Asia CanTech. We’ll be announcing details around the show very shortly, so please do keep an eye on the usual channels. In this issue we take a look back at the success of the 2019 show, so please turn to page 28.

With 2020 also being a Metpack year, we’ll be bringing you the essential news, views and features around the event. Lots to look forward to for next year for sure…

Before then, we have plenty to cover in this issue. To go alongside our Asia CanTech preview, our digital editor, Kat Skeates, reviews Brau Beviale trade show, and our team of international reports cover topics ranging from the growth of the ready-to-drink coffee market, a consumer insight report, and look at how the aid sector is important to the can making trade.

Enjoy your week!
