KBA receives oven order

KBA-MetalPrint received an order from United Beverage Kuwait for a pin and IBO oven at its recent Open House Exhibition in Romania.
A number of can makers attended the exhibition which was put on by the German company to showcase complete manufactured IBO and pin ovens as well as parts of a heat recovery system.
An order for one IBO BeltStar and one pin oven PinStar was placed by United Beverage Kuwait. Plant manager Ramez Farag and the CEO of KBA-MetalPrint, Ralf Gumbel, signed a contract after the presentation.
KBA-MetalPrint has developed a new innovative airflow management system for two-piece ovens, which has been successfully tested on retrofits as well as on a new IBO, which was installed in the UK at the start of this year.
To present this new technology and to discuss individual customer applications, KBA-MetalPrint invited key customers from the beverage can industry to show them its manufacturing facility in Romania as well as a brand new IBO BeltStar, two pin ovens (PinStar) and parts of its new GreenBoiler concept.
Technical representatives from Ball Europe, Can Pack and United Can Kuwait had the chance to check the quality and the new design of the KBA-MetalPrint equipment in detail. In customised presentations the participants learned about the technology and held discussions with Peter Kurz (pictured third from right with the Open House participants), the product manager for the two-piece business at KBA-MetalPrint, about the technical advantages and saving potentials of the ovens.
