Crown Beverage Packaging Mexico honoured by MillerCoors
For the second time in three years, MillerCoors has named the Crown Beverage Packaging Mexico business unit of Crown Holdings its Supplier of the Year. Along with this title, the company also takes home the award for Most Valuable Plant. Crown’s facility in Monterrey, Mexico supplies brewing company MillerCoors with crowns and aluminum roll on closures for glass bottles.
“Crown consistently strives to excel in every category, and is an indispensable partner to us,” said Ryan Aguirre, global senior category manager, metals, MillerCoors. “Its lean manufacturing plant in Monterrey delivers outstanding quality and service to MillerCoors’ operations in the United States. These prestigious awards are well-deserved, and we look forward to working with Crown for many years to come.”
Crown has worked in partnership with the Miller and Coors brands for 25 years and remained a strategic resource after the companies merged in 2008. During this time frame, Crown has been recognised by the brands with 19 different awards, in addition to winning the Supplier of the Year award five times.
“We are honoured to receive these awards, which serve as a true tribute to the hard work and dedication of our employees in Monterrey,” said Juan Carlos Gomez, senior sales manager for Crown Beverage Packaging Mexico. “These awards also reflect the exceptional, long-term partnerships that Crown aims to establish with each of our customers. We are fortunate to work with MillerCoors and are thrilled to see what we will achieve in our future collaborations.”
Crown accepted its awards at a recent ceremony hosted at MillerCoors’ Chicago headquarters. In addition to the Monterrey plant, which manufactures can ends and crowns, Crown operates four beverage can plants and two glass bottle plants in Mexico.
