New BPA website

A new website that provides information on Bispehenol A has been setup by the Polycarbonate/Bisphenol A (BPA) group from the industry association PlasticsEurope.

The members of the group comprise the main Bisphenol A and polycarbonate producers in Europe: Bayer Material Science, Dow, SABIC, Styron, Momentive.

The group seeks to provide accurate, science-based information about BPA and their two main applications: polycarbonate and epoxy resins.

BPA is a chemical that is used in the lining of some food and drinks cans.

The website, which has labelled itself as the European Information Centre on Bisphenol A, has created a useful fact sheet which looks at some of the myths surrounding Bisphenol A (BPA).
