Rexam sets out sustainability commitments

Rexam has released its sustainability report for 2011/12.

The report is available on the company’s website at www.rexam.com/sr11 and sets out 12 commitments, grouped around three themes, that provide the framework for making Rexam a more sustainable business.

The three themes are products, operations and people.

Chief executive Graham Chipchase said: “I believe that our commitments are a tangible demonstration that we take our corporate responsibilities seriously. But we cannot reach our targets by acting only within the boundaries of our own operations, or alone. We are developing partnerships along the supply chain and it is important that our customers know they have a partner that is helping to drive change and who will collaborate with them on their own journeys as they drive sustainable change in their industries.”
