TOLAG announces agency agreement with Wallram Group

TOLAG and Wallram at Asia CanTech 2023

TOLAG has announced that the company is now the sole agent for Wallram Group in Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

The agreement will see TOLAG and its technical director and can making veteran, Chris McKenzie, expand TOLAG’s ability to provide specialist process management and consulting support, as well agency agreements for toll manufacturing of the TOLAG range of washer chemicals and lubricants across the region.

As well as this, TOLAG will support Wallram with process knowledge support, whilst also cooperating with Wallram on specialised projects.

Commenting on the announcement, Wallram vice president, Juergen Seel, said: “Chris McKenzie is a defining figure in our industry. His high level of professional expertise and many years of experience perfectly support Wallram’s growth, both globally and in terms of our continuous expansion of engineering and consulting expertise.

“We are therefore pleased to have him on board and look forward to our cooperation.”

Wallram Group is an internationally operating group of companies. Its core business is the production of precision tools for metal-forming and cylindrical grinding machines. At its locations in Germany, Poland and US, the company manufactures high-precision tooling mainly for the metal packaging industry. Using primarily the materials tungsten carbide and ceramics, Wallrams offer tooling solutions to our customers that provide true added value.

Likewise, McKenzie is excited about the new partnership with Wallram: “It’s an honour to sign this agreement with Wallram,” he added. “In business, TOLAG has always believed in making friends, not customers. This approach is fundamental in offering, integrity alongside a professional level of service. These principles are well aligned with Wallram, and so we look forward to adding value in terms of the company’s global expansion.

“Southeast Asia and Australasia is our backyard – we know the market, and we look forward to sharing this expertise with the highly skilled Wallram team.”

McKenzie himself has held experienced technical roles, including European technical manager and tooling specialist for Preferred Tooling, Stuart Ironsides and Henkel Surface Technologies as technical director for Asia Pacific. He has also held senior commercial positions for some of the major equipment suppliers globally. Having knowledge of both sides of the equipment sector is advantageous for companies looking to utilise this breadth of knowledge.

The Wallram agreement is hot on the heels of TOLAG’s recent announcement of a new cooperation with 7OGUN to bolster its service and support network globally. This will increase its service personnel to be able to supply global maintenance on can body and ends, as well as to support the installation of equipment TOLAG has supplied.
