MPMA welcomes new technical and regulatory affairs manager

Bernard Slack has joined MPMA as its new technical and regulatory affairs manager. With over 30 years’ experience in packaging coatings, a degree in chemistry and an MSc in Polymer Science from Lancaster University, Slack has held various technical roles in industry. Most recently with AkzoNobel where he led a team of research and development chemists focused on new product development and customer support.

Commenting on his new role, Slack said, “I am excited to join at such a pivotal time for the industry. With Extended Producer Responsibility and Deposit Return Schemes imminent, it is essential that MPMA members are well-prepared to navigate these significant changes. I look forward to offering the technical guidance and regulatory support they need to stay compliant, competitive and ready to succeed in an ever-evolving regulatory environment.”
