Steelforce Packaging appoints Angelica Papageorgiou as global director of sales

Steelforce Packaging announced the official launch of its Aluminum Department, marking a significant milestone in the company’s strategic growth. To lead this pivotal expansion, Steelforce Packaging welcomes Angelica Papageorgiou as global director of Aluminum Business Unit.

With the global demand for sustainable, recyclable materials rapidly increasing, aluminum has emerged as a cornerstone of future packaging solutions. This move reflects Steelforce Packaging’s commitment to offering a full spectrum of metal packaging options, including both steel and aluminum—to meet the evolving needs of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) markets and beyond.

“Now is the right time to expand,” said Davide Padovani, CEO of Steelforce Packaging. “With strong customer synergies and growing demand, launching a dedicated Aluminum Business Unit aligns perfectly with our mission to provide comprehensive, sustainable solutions. Angelica’s expertise in aluminum, manufacturing, raw material trading, and container production makes her uniquely equipped to lead this strategic initiative.”

Angelica brings extensive industry experience and a passion for innovation and sustainability. “I joined Steelforce Packaging because of its deep-rooted market knowledge, global business model, and bold vision for the future,” said Papageorgiou. “Aluminum is the ‘green metal,’ and I’m thrilled to be leading a team focused on sustainable growth, developing global markets for billets, ingots, and scrap while strengthening our commitment to the circular economy.”

From her earliest days in the role, Angelica’s priorities will center around expanding the aluminum portfolio, building strategic partnerships, and delivering on operational excellence. Her vision is to position Steelforce Packaging as a global leader in sustainable aluminum packaging solutions across multiple industries.

On the operational side, Marco Bisogno, head of the European unit, emphasized the importance of this launch: “As part of our global expansion and growing project pipeline, creating a specialized aluminum team was essential. It allows us to provide tailored support for both existing and new aluminum clients, ensuring technical coordination, competitive offerings, and added value throughout the supply chain.”

He continued, “This department is a natural extension of our long-term strategy—delivering the same quality and service in aluminum as we’ve done for decades in steel. We’re strengthening our presence and deepening relationships with all our partners through this enhanced offering.”
