Colored by INX Can Design Contest voting opens

The judges have determined the five finalists for the Colored by INX Can Design Contest. Now the public has their chance to select the winner of the sixth annual event. The can designs from brand owners, design agencies and metal decorators can be viewed online and voting will be conducted this week from 21-23 May.

Selections made by the public through INX’s Facebook page and LinkedIn pages will count as one vote. There will be a new champion this year with last year’s winner, Jackie O’s Brewery, not in contention. A former two-time champion – Great Lakes Brewing – has made it to the final round. The finalists include:

The contest finalists represent INX customers who produced a commercial can design before 1 January, 2025. Contest rules required using at least one colour from the INX Color Catalog. The metal decoration’s premier true colour standard contains over 650 removable colour metal swatches. As a key part of the INX Color Perfection program, it improves the dialogue between the designer, brand owner and metal decorator and helps products reach the market quicker.

An independent panel of five judges from the brand design, colour and printing communities determined the five can finalists after taking several things into consideration. They reviewed each entry for design originality, overall design aesthetics, best use of the colour palette and the project statement describing how the INX Color Catalog was involved in the design.

After voting concludes this Friday, the winner will be announced on 28 May via the INX website and social media pages. The contest champion will receive industry recognition with an engraved trophy and a feature article in INX’s Color Perfection Magazine.
