PPG showcases latest coatings innovations

PPG recently showcased its latest innovations to members of the analyst community at its global Coatings Innovation Center in Allison Park, Pennsylvania. The event focused on advancements in innovative and sustainably advantaged solutions that enhance productivity and reflect the company’s goals of helping customers lower costs, drive operational excellence and accelerate PPG’s organic growth.

“I’m proud to show how our innovations in chemistry and process applications solve our customers’ greatest needs and improve their productivity,” commented Tim Knavish, PPG chairman and chief executive officer. “We will continue to leverage these innovations as a strategic advantage to accelerate organic growth and margin expansion.”

Recent PPG innovations highlighted at the event included:

  • Precision Application, an award-winning automotive OEM overspray-free coating system that reduces energy consumption and application time.
  • PPG Coraseal and PPG Corashield 4-Wet Advantage coatings, which reduce energy consumption and emissions for both water-based and solvent basecoat systems.
  • Low-temperature, expanded-bake electrocoat, a technology that reduces customer costs and improves operational efficiency.
  • PPG Steelguard 951 coating, a durable and flexible fire protection solution for steelwork that improves customer productivity.
  • PPG Nutrishield Max metal packaging coatings that offer a variety of non-BPA internal solutions with enhanced protection for foods that are acidic, salty or have other aggressive characteristics, while optimising manufacturing productivity.
  • Architectural Coatings products, including an advanced water-based portfolio where sustainable brand recognition supports a strong #1 or #2 position in more than 15 countries.
