Industrial Physics, global packaging, material, and coatings test and measurement specialist, has announced the appointment of Cameron Deppe to global vice president of sales & marketing, supporting the company’s objective to accelerate equipment growth.

Deppe joins with 25 years of global testing and leadership experience, having held roles across general management, sales, marketing, and engineering consulting. In his most recent role as general manager at IDEXX, he successfully developed the global team to hone in on the needs of customers and saw significant growth as a result.

In his new role at Industrial Physics, Deppe will be utilising his acute understanding of user needs and business operations to help Industrial Physics better support its customers across diverse industries with solutions that meet their needs today but also pre-empt the needs that are growing as a result of external environment factors. Deppe’s remit will include monitoring industry trends to direct the continued expansion of Industrial Physics’ brand portfolio, ensuring that the company is fulfilling the needs as they arise, and connecting with customers in their preferred channels.

Prior to IDEXX, Deppe spent more than a decade at Hach – a manufacturer of analytical instruments used to test water/liquid quality – where he managed the global municipal product portfolio, with a strong focus on evaluating the needs and structure of individual companies, in order to grow with the customer.

Speaking on his new position, Deppe shared: “Industrial Physics is empowering decision-makers across the test and measurement landscape to innovate and futureproof despite challenges surrounding supply chain issues, changing regulations, rising costs and skills shortages. Joining a business that is committed to expanding the breadth and quality of test and measurement support so that specialists across the world have greater access to the kind of equipment that can streamline and improve quality was a really exciting prospect.

“As the VP of global sales & marketing, I’ll be using my experience to shape the strategy of the company during a pivotal growth year, spreading the word about how Industrial Physics is helping companies across a multitude of industries transform their operations through testing and measurement. We know that large global companies are struggling to manage multiple partners for their testing needs, so one of my responsibilities is helping them understand how Industrial Physics can simplify that process to one contact.”

Barry Lyon, CEO at Industrial Physics, commented: “Our current product offering has grown considerably in recent years with new launches and acquisitions. Cameron is a great addition, to not only help raise awareness of our portfolio, but also to draw on his insight to highlight further opportunities to support our customers. We are poised to assist whether manufacturers are improving the approach in an existing plant, or opening a brand-new facility with the latest technological solutions.

“Meeting customers where they need us is crucial, and will be a continued focus for Industrial Physics, headed up by Daniel Rinehart as he transitions from chief commercial officer to chief strategy officer. With significant progress already made in the past two years, continuing to bring experienced, motivated experts into these leadership positions will drive us to stay ahead of our customer’s needs and offer the most valuable support.”
