Recorp debuts the ReCan85

New Zealand can manufacturer, Recorp, has developed a can made with 85% recycled aluminium, in a move the company is calling a “world-first.”

The ReCan85 contains aluminium sourced from cans collected in New Zealand, which are recycled offshore and returned to Recorp’s Auckland facility to be formed into the new cans.

“At Recorp, our mission has always been clear: to eliminate single-use plastic bottles from New Zealand by offering smarter, more sustainable alternatives. With the ReCan85, we’re reducing emissions, cutting waste, and building a circular model that consumers and brands alike can stand behind,” stated the company in its news release.
