Neil Bolton, global product stewardship director at Procter & Gamble, has been elected as new chair of the British Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association (BAMA), taking over the role from Dr Alina Darragh of WD-40 Company.

Elected as BAMA’s vice-chair in 2024, Bolton brings a professional background spanning over 30 years covering regulation, post-market safety surveillance, human safety and R&D. BAMA chief executive and CanTech editorial board member, Patrick Heskins, said: “Neil is already a huge asset to the board. His leadership style and qualities will be invaluable as we seek to address both industry opportunities and challenges in the coming years.”

Bolton commented: “It’s a pleasure to take on the role as chair at BAMA. As former vice-chair, I have seen first-hand the drive and commitment from Alina to progress BAMA’s efforts and affirmative actions in environmental sustainability within the aerosol industry.

“I look forward to building on this trajectory and working alongside a team of dedicated professionals committed to doing all we can to advance our industry and support Association members.”

Further changes to the board were made at BAMA’s AGM on 15 October during the Association’s annual Forum and Awards. New board directors appointed include Valentin Chapero, director of global key accounts at Ball Aerosol Packaging UK; Victorien Dorier, business development manager for Europe at Plastipak; Adrian McCretton, chief scientist at KDC/one and Holly Perfect, senior manager for global direct procurement at Church and Dwight.
