Penrhos Spirits joins Fortitude Drinks

Fortitude Drinks UK has announced that Penrhos Spirits has joined its growing portfolio of premium and purpose-led brands. In November 2025, Fortitude Drinks became the exclusive UK distributor for the Herefordshire-based gin distillery, which packages its gin in aluminium bottles.
Founded on a family fruit farm in the rolling hills of Herefordshire, Penrhos Spirits was created not because the world needed another gin, but because its founders wanted to do more with their “wonky fruit” – the perfectly delicious but imperfectly shaped produce that often goes to waste. What began as a mission to make use of nature’s misfits has evolved into one of the UK’s most admired craft gin brands, recognised for both quality and sustainability.
In 2023, Penrhos became the first distillery in the world to move from glass to 100% recycled aluminium bottles, cutting its packaging carbon footprint by an impressive 91%. Lightweight, shatterproof, and infinitely recyclable, the bottle design has set a new benchmark in sustainable packaging and earned national acclaim, not to mention a listing in Sainsbury’s for its flagship London Dry Gin.
The Penrhos range includes Dry Gin, Rhubarb, Apple & Elderflower, Wonky Raspberry, and Wonky Strawberry, all distilled in small batches in the farm’s converted cattle shed.
Penrhos joins a growing portfolio of distinctive brands that are driving category growth and adding value for Fortitude’s customers. Fortitude has said it is confident there is a huge opportunity to expand Penrhos’ reach across premium retail, hospitality, and on-trade channels nationwide.
