Augusta Label + Packaging releases new resealable can top

Augusta Label + Packaging, a speciality label printer and shrink sleeve decorator in the US, has announced the launch of a new resealable can top for the beverage market.

An international collaboration with the Sav-ty Corporation brings this new lid to a healthy beverage market looking for an alternative to existing tops.

The leak-proof, tamper-proof and resealable top has gone through years of extensive testing and is designed to give the consumer a better experience through a smoother pour. According to Augusta, the patented design is easy to open and reseal, preserving the freshness and carbonation of any beverage.  The initial roll out will be offered in the 202 can size with the B64 profile.  Customers can order one sleeve or multiple skids and will be stocked in Augusta’s Burr Ridge location. The new top provides a spill-proof solution and portability convenience that conventional lids or covers can’t match, the company says.

Perfect for the craft beer, coffee, canned cocktail and cannabis markets, the lids can be run on any can line or manual seamer. They have been submitted for Child Certification in the US and Europe and should be approved in the near future.
