VMI introduces Can Washer 2.0

VMI is introducing its new generation modular type can washer, the result of a thorough development process and close monitoring of the company’s current can washer.

With the diverse needs of customers in mind, flexibility was one of the focus points for the new VMI Can Washer 2.0. One of the most significant advancements in the new Can washer therefore is its modular design. With this innovative feature, the machine can be tailored to the customers’ specific requirements, giving them more flexibility and control.

With the advanced software monitoring system, the machine can operate on a ‘hands-off’ principle, alerting operators to any potential issues before they actually happen. This means minimal downtime and reduced disruption to the production process, resulting in increased productivity and cost savings.

Next to the operational benefits, the new VMI Can Washer 2.0 also has numerous sustainability advantages such as significantly reduced energy, chemical, gas and water consumption. Additionally, the use of field components has enabled VMI to reduce electrical cabinet size by 60%. The integrated piping gives the customer’s facility a cleaner and more streamlined appearance.

According to VMI, the Can Washer 2.0 also gives customers low cost of ownership, increased use of automation, reduced utility consumption and many customisable options.

VMI will be showcasing this new development at this year’s Metpack trade show from 5 to 8 May in Essen (booth 1B12).
