Packaging provider, Emballator Group, has announced it will install a new tinplate slitting line at its Ulricehamn, Sweden site in April 2026.
The line will allow the company to move from using tinplate sheets to working with coils. The upgrade gives Emballator greater flexibility in its material supply and strengthens the reliability of its production.
The company said: “The shift to coils helps us reduce material waste and use resources more carefully. Cutting down on scraps isn’t just good for production – it’s essential for the environment. Every improvement, even the practical ones behind the scenes, brings us closer to a more sustainable way of working.
“For us, sustainability is not a slogan but a steady, ongoing effort. This investment is one more way we turn that commitment into action, supporting our customers with reliable packaging and responsible production for the long term.”
