Machine manufacturer for the aluminium can industry, Unimaq has announced that industry veteran, Johan Jonkman is joining the team as a business development consultant.

Jonkman has spent the previous 20 years in the industry at VMI as the sales manager, managing worldwide sales for can washing, drying and wash coating systems. After a short period away to recuperate and refocus, Jonkman has made the decision to join Unimaq on the company’s journey of global expansion through its latest products and developments in bottom rim coating and vision inspection systems.

Jonkman, a long-time friend of Unimaq, has expressed his eagerness and excitement to embark on a new challenge in a relatively new area of the industry. Unimaq CEO, Mark Derry, commented: “Johans’ breadth of contacts and industry knowledge and experience is sure to bring Unimaq to a new level.
