New Age debuts thermochromic ink can

Soft drinks maker New Age has worked with can maker Rexam to launch its drink Classic in a can with thermochromic ink.

The innovative ink turns green, red or blue to create a unique artwork once the contents reaches a chilled drinking temperature.

Three flavours (pictured) Classic Citrus, Classic Tonic and Classic Diet Tonic are now available for the Brazilian market in the specialty 350ml cans.

Rexam has also worked with Cusqueña, a Peruvian beer made by Backus, which is now also sold in a can with a technological twist.

The brewer worked closely with Rexam to revamp their visual identity, using a tactile varnish on a stylish Sleek can.

Rexam’s finish is a combination of ink and varnish to create a ‘wet look’, providing a unique look and feel.

Cusqueña cans are currently being produced at Rexam’s Jacareí plant, Brazil.
