Woodchuck Hard Cider in 16-ounce cans

Woodchuck Hard Cider introduced 12-ounce cans of its Amber cider in 2012 using a Cask automated canning system.

The package has seen 42% growth over the last year, and consumers have called for a larger format can. In response, the Vermont, USA-based cidery is set to introduce a 16-ounce can to the market. Woodchuck Hard Cider has added a second Cask automated canning system to help handle volume for both can formats.

“The Amber can has been a great success for us. It allows for our cider to be available no matter the circumstance,” says Woodchuck President and CEO Bret Williams. “The cider category is rapidly growing and to be able to offer fans a 16-ounce version of our classic red Woodchuck can is really exciting.”

The new 16-ounce cans will be available in-store in the coming weeks in both 4-pack and single can formats.
