US sees recycling rate decline for aluminium cans
New data shows that 43% of aluminium cans shipped in the US in 2023 were ultimately recycled, but while this still comfortably exceeds the equivalent recycling rate for glass (39.6%) and plastic (PET) bottles (20.0%), recycling rates for cans are at their lowest point in decades.
