Swiss equipment expert Soudronic has announced the release of its new Compact welder series for can bodies, featuring cutting-edge technology and advanced operator safety.
With a footprint of 230cm, the Compact 240 welder is perfect for tight production spaces, according to the company. Inside, it is engineered for accessibility, clarity and control. Designed for high performance, the Compact achieves production speeds of up to 240 cans per minute.
One basic machine design offers two different welding concepts: large and heavy containers are welded with the seam on the bottom, while smaller containers and cans are welded with the traditional seam on top. Depending on the format, a lifting table destacker or a top feed downstacker is available.
A free basic dashboard, mySoudronic Insights, is included in the Compact series that provides live production statistics at both the machine and component levels. It displays machine status, time-limited efficiency data, the top five error statistics, a production counter and an event log, delivering clear insights into performance.
Visitors to Metpack’s 2026 trade fair will be able to see both welding concepts of the Compact welder live in Essen, Germany from 5 to 8 May 2026.
