Sugoi Consulting advances engineering capabilities

A leading consultancy operating in the global metal decorating industry has appointed experienced mechanical engineer, John Robson, as technical manager, marking a significant step in the company’s continued growth and commitment to technical excellence.

Based in the UK’s Northeast but operating worldwide, Sugoi Consulting applies its decades of experience in industry to provide solutions for metal packaging and metal printing markets through parts supply and process optimisation.

In his new role, Robson, who has more than 25 years’ experience in the metal decorating industry, will lead the development and implementation of products, oversee technical operations and support the expansion of Sugoi Consulting’s service offerings. With extensive experience in mechanical engineering, engineering design and project management, he brings a strong track record of driving innovation and operational efficiency.

Alongside the appointment of Robson, Sugoi Consulting has successfully secured investment from North East Business & Innovation Centre (BIC), Sunderland to enhance the firm’s design, simulation and product development capabilities. This is enabling the company to develop more efficient workflows and support an expanding customer base beyond the metal decorating and packaging industry, to provide subcontract engineering and design for manufacturers.

The company has also secured product development partnerships with Ruiyuan, Asia’s leading metal decorating press and coater equipment manufacturer, and a number of European suppliers, positioning the company as a technical partner in innovation by delivering products to market.
