The metal packaging industry reunited

Hello from Metpack!
It’s been a busy couple of days in Essen already, with packed halls full of reunions with colleagues and new innovations to discover.
CanTech’s stand (3B27) boasts our branded horse box-turned bar, serving canned coffee, soft drinks, wine, beer and G&Ts all day long, so if you haven’t already, come and say hi over a drink or two.
This morning was the Metpack Conference, which hosted a variety of speakers covering topics from packaging trends, to coatings and regulation, as well as new can manufacturing technology. Crown’s CTO, Dr Daniel Abramowicz, provided the keynote presentation and began with the history of can making, providing examples of innovative and stand-out product development throughout the years, and ending by discussing future consumer trends and smart packaging.
This set the tone for a morning of lively education, followed by an afternoon of celebrating the Metpack Awards! The winners have been announced and you can catch the announcement here.
