Our small but mighty team at the Bell Publishing 2026 barbecue

Last week was a busy one, with the September edition going to print and the mid-to-end of summer celebrations for Bell Publishing with our team barbecue. Much delicious food was consumed, and a few competitive games of ping pong were played! It’s always an event to look forward to, and reminds us of how mighty our small teams are. We’re a brilliant bunch!

We did end up having a bit of a downpour which caused us all to move under the gazebo, but it quickly subsided. It was actually refreshing to feel some rain, after this summer being one of the driest and hottest on record in the Southeast of the UK. We’re set for more rain over the next week, so hopefully our grass, plants and wildlife are finally better off for it.

You will have also seen recently but this is another gentle reminder that this is your last week to submit your Asia CanTech entries for our can manufacturer Awards in Bangkok. The deadline day is 1 September, so don’t delay. Enter here. Our jury are looking forward to judging the versatile range of products sent in.

Staying on the topic of Asia CanTech, I have emailed all our participants for content to include in our special show guide, which is new for 2026 and a little different to the previews we’ve done before in the magazines. Thank you to the responses I’ve received so far. You also have until 1 September to submit this content, so if you haven’t already, get in touch! Don’t miss out on this extra bit of exposure at the show.
