We’ve just wrapped on another successful Asia CanTech edition here in Bangkok.

The first day saw a busy reunion of the industry, with the welcome desk, tabletop halls and buffet dinner seeing large turnouts of both suppliers and can makers. The conference sessions on days two and three have seen all aspects of the metal packaging supply chain represented. The programme covered trends, details of new equipment, local expertise out of Thailand, and technical troubleshooting.

What was clear throughout the three days is just how positive metal packagers and their suppliers are about the future, while still remaining aware of upcoming challenges. The market has certainly picked up post-Covid and is recovering well, although a good number of can makers are choosing to focus on optimising and expanding current operations rather than making completely new investments. Building relationships, continuous learning and improvement is what is essential right now.

We’ve had a few questions about this year’s conference presentations, so we will be pleased to share these with you in the next week or so – attendees will be emailed a link granting access to PDF files, with permission from the companies who presented. Photos from the event will also be made available to attendees around the same time.

For can makers wishing to enter our 2027 awards, we will also be updating the website in the next few weeks for the application form, but please email myself (details below) and [email protected] if you would like to register your interest early!

All that remains now is to say please look out for our show review in the January 2027 edition of CanTech International, and we extend our thanks to everyone who joined us this year, as well as the hotel staff at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Riverside Hotel, the AV team, and our wonderful events team too!

Asia CanTech 2027 will take place from 25 to 27 October.
