Coming up…

It’s been just over a week since I officially took on my role at CanTech International and I have to say thank you to everyone for welcoming me so wholeheartedly to the industry. The February issue is nearly ready to go, and we have some very high quality features scheduled for your reading pleasure.

Among those appearing will be Dr. Paul Jackson, technical director at the British Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association. Paul will be looking at how aerosols are a sustainable packaging format, and at how a long term educational and communications campaign has led to over 90% of councils around the UK including aerosols in kerbside and can bank recycling schemes.

Elsewhere, Alexander Mohr, secretary general of APEAL, will be asking what the future holds for the can industry. His piece looks at design, lightweighting, recycling and food waste, amongst other things, and makes for very interesting reading indeed.

We also have regular columnists David Hayes and Evert van de Weg on international topics, alongside a look at the craft beer market in America from our expert Russ Phillips.

Plenty to look forward to I’m sure you’ll agree.

Remember, if you would like to contact me with regard to editorial opportunities then please do feel free. I can be reached at: [email protected]

All the best,

Richard
