Metpack mania

I have spent a large part of this week sorting things out ahead of Metpack 2011.

As the event’s official media partner, CanTech International will provide unrivalled coverage. Our preview issue will focus on new developments in terms of products, services and technology that will be showcased by exhibitors at the event.

The show issue will include an up-to-date list of exhibitors, details of the Metpack Conference, interviews with key figures and floorplan – providing a valuable reference tool for Metpack attendees.
We are also planning to produce a daily e-newsletter during the show. This will include each day’s top stories, plus news and views from the industry’s biggest exhibition.

All of this is keeping me busy and I am sure your own preparations for the industry’s biggest exhibition are keeping you equally occupied. There is still time for you to ensure you are featured in the Metpack preview. But you’ve got to be quick. Please send details of what you are planning to exhibit, with photographs where appropriate, to [email protected], no later than 1 March 2011. Submissions should not exceed 200 words.

Our stand will feature a lounge and bar area for informal networking. Please be sure to stop by and say hello. I’m sure we’ll all be in need of a drink or two by the time the event comes around!

This week it was interesting to note that Crown Holdings is set to expand beverage can production capacity in all three of its existing plants in Vietnam. Upgrades are planned to existing facilities in Ho Chi Minh City.
Proof, if needed, that Vietnam is a strong growing market. It is also the venue for this year’s Asia CanTech – the annual conference, exhibition and meeting point for can makers and fillers, and suppliers to the industry. The event is taking place from 17-19 October 2011, at the Rex Hotel, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. For further information visit www.asia-can.com or email Chrissy Payne at [email protected].
