Crown-Mondelēz collaboration supports British Armed Forces

Crown Aerosols & Specialty Packaging Europe has collaborated with Mondelēz, the Cadbury Foundation and Help for Heroes to create a limited edition tin for the charity.

The package, which contains the brand’s chocolate miniature bars, helps promote the foundation’s work with service personnel and military veterans with injuries, illnesses and wounds sustained while serving in the British Armed Forces.

The tin represents the first collaboration between Crown and Mondelēz to support this cause.

Mondelēz places high value on the benefits of metal packaging for its premium products and the format proved ideal for this initiative. Taking on the design of a drum, the Help for Heroes Cadbury tin features the slogan ‘drumming up support,’ and can be used by consumers as a keepsake.

Dec Duggan, senior brand manager, Christmas & Halloween, at Mondelēz, said: “We chose Crown as our packaging partner due to its diverse market knowledge and expertise, as well as its ability to add value at every stage of the project – from initial design to the final, completed tin.

“We appreciate working with like-minded companies such as Crown who share our values and goals to make the world a more joyful place through creating prosperous, enterprising and inclusive communities.”

The tin also makes a difference from a sustainability point of view, as the metal used in its construction is infinitely recyclable.

“We are pleased to have been part of such a special initiative,” added Veronique Curulla, marketing director at Crown Aerosols & Specialty Packaging Europe. “Supporting our local communities and charitable causes is a key element of our sustainability commitment. Playing a role in raising funds for this worthy cause and helping to rebuild lives has been an honour.”

The Help for Heroes Limited Edition tin for Cadbury is now available exclusively at Tesco stores in the UK.
