Crown to show new technologies at Interpack

Can maker Crown is launching a “revolutionary” new twist-off closure at Interpack in Germany.

The closure’s unique design is said to significantly reduce the torque required to remove the closure, enhancing convenience for consumers of all ages.

Interpack attendees can also gain insight into other metal packaging technologies that are being showcased by Crown at the event.

These include a new decorative technique from Crown Speciality Packaging Europe that allows holographic images to be stamped directly on metal tins. In addition to helping products stand out on the shelf, the technology can help minimise the risk of counterfeiting.

Crown Food Europe’s full range of rigid and flexible easy-open ends

The award-winning Easylift easy-open ends family feature significantly improved finger access under the tab, making it easier for all consumers to open canned food products like vegetables, soup and even pet food, while the PeelSeam opening system is a great option for single-serve portions and is fully compatible with Crown’s full range of cans.

Crown will also be showcasing the world’s first full aperture end for carbonated beverages developed by Crown Bevcan Europe & Middle East. The full aperture end was launched at the last FIFA World Cup tournament with SABMiller. By removing the entire lid, the can itself turns into a drinking cup, eliminating the need for glassware and draught installations.

Interpack is taking place in Düsseldorf from May 12-18.
