WaveGrip G1 streamlines manufacturing for Tupps Brewery

Tupps Brewery is streamlining its manufacturing process with WaveGrip’s multi-packing G1 applicator which provides a sustainable, environmentally friendly solution to the multi-packing of its beer cans.

The Texas-based brewery is already seeing huge savings in materials and labour costs, running the G1 at 45-50 cpm (it is capable of up to 100cpm).

WaveGrip carriers weigh less than 4g for a standard six-pack and use less material that other multi-packing solutions. They are all 100% recyclable and meet current US Packaging regulations by being photodegradable.

As well as the improvements in production, Tupps said the sustainability of the WaveGrip carriers played a large part in the decision-making process.

“Having an environmentally friendly carrier was a huge factor in our decision-making process. We were really happy with the sustainability of the WaveGrip solution and its environmental story is important to both us and our customers” said Keith Lewis, founder and president, Tupps Brewery.

WaveGrip managing director, Aaron McIvor, said: “We’re glad brewers are recognising the environmental impact of packaging and are choosing WaveGrip for their can multi-packing due to its efficiencies and sustainability. The combination of both these benefits is really delivering for breweries and enabling them to maximise their production output with a reduced environmental impact.”
