Long to take on Indian bike ride challenge

CarnaudMetalbox Engineering sales manager Adrian Long is attempting to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care by taking part in the Taj Mahal Cycle Challenge in November.

Adrian will himself be covering the cost of flights, accommodation (tent hire), meals etc, so all donations will go to the charity which looks after terminally ill cancer patients.

He will be attempting to cycle 500 kilometres over just six days and has signed up to guarantee Marie Curie £2,750. Anything less in sponsorship will be funded by him.

The Indian bike ride starts with a 95km journey from Pushkar to Malpura. The challenge continues with a 91km cycle to Jaipur before the group faces an 84km ride from Zorawar Singh Gate to Hill Camp.
A combined journey of 180km over two days then takes in Laxamgarh and Fatephur Sikri before the final leg of 41km sees the group arrive at the Taj Mahal.

Adrian will have sponsorship forms available at Metpack but in the meantime anyone interested in sponsoring him should visit http://original.justgiving.com/adrianlong1
