Obituary: Dean Temple

The president of John Good Logistics, Dean Temple, passed away last month.

Temple joined the logisitics company in October and was entrusted with establishing their US operations, with the business recently opening a new office in New Jersey

According to ObitTree, Temple was born and raised in Oceanside, New York to Donald and Grace (nee Johnson) Temple. His family crossed the river to Hillsdale, New Jersey, where he spent the majority of his youth. He met his wife Kathleen while working in New York City, and they settled down in Bloomfield and then Verona, New Jersey, to raise their family.

Temple had a successful 40-year career in the freight forwarding industry.

A tribute posted on ObitTree stated the following: “Although a man is often defined by his career and accomplishments, this is not what defined Dean. His proudest roles were that of son, brother, husband, father, and above all a child of God. He travelled all over the world making friends, taking selfies, enjoying culture, and trying new foods. He was a lively conversationalist who made you feel like you took those trips with him. Despite his vast travels Dean’s happiest moments were spent with his family, especially if they happened to be fishing on a lake or doing anything in God’s creation. His family and friends describe him with these words; dependable, selfless, dignified, honorable, true, compassionate, sensitive, and above all – loving. The legacy he has left behind can only be called heroic. To say that he will be missed is a monumental understatement.
