Nussbaum withdraws from aluminium tube business

The Nussbaum Group has announced that it has withdrawn from the tube business due to the ‘difficult market situation’ in that area.

Nussbaum Matzingen AG has decided to concentrate on its core business, the development and production of aluminium cans.

The tube production lines have been sold as part of an asset purchase agreement to Lindhart Group.

Nussbaum Group has specialised in the production of monobloc aluminium cans and other aluminium packaging solutions since 1963 at three production sites. A focus is the development of sustainable products with environmental friendly production methods and the company says it is proud to be producing the world’s first monobloc aluminium can with 96% CO2 reduction and 100% used beverage cans. With its other products such as refillable screw cans, deodorant roll cans and shaker cans, the company is expecting considerable growth.
